Helpr – Terms & Conditions

Part A – Terms of Use

  1. Introduction & Agreement

These Terms of Use constitute a binding legal agreement between UrbanAid Services Private Limited (the “Company”, “we”, “our”, or “us”), operating under the brand name Helpr, and you (“User”, “you”, or “your”) for the use of the Helpr mobile application, website, and related services (together, the “Platform”). By using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

  1. Definitions

‘User’ means any resident or customer availing services on the Platform. ‘Helper’ means any independent domestic worker onboarded on the Platform. ‘Services’ means domestic help, including cleaning, cooking, babysitting, driving, elderly care, and related services.

  1. Scope of Services

Helpr provides a technology Platform to connect Users with Helpers for domestic services. Helpr does not employ Helpers; Helpers are independent service providers.

  1. Platform Role & Disclaimer

Helpr acts solely as an intermediary. We verify, list, and enable bookings with Helpers. We are not responsible for the conduct or performance of Helpers.

  1. User Responsibilities

Users must provide accurate information, ensure a safe working environment, treat Helpers with respect, and comply with applicable laws.

  1. Helper Responsibilities

Helpers must provide services with professionalism, punctuality, and integrity. Any misconduct, harassment, or illegal activity is strictly prohibited.

  1. Booking, Confirmation, Cancellation, Substitution, Extensions

Users may book Helpers through the Platform. Bookings are confirmed upon acceptance and payment. Cancellations and substitutions are subject to Platform policy. Extensions depend on Helper availability.

  1. Pricing, Fees, Payment Terms, Refunds

Pricing will be displayed on the Platform. Payments may include service fees, technology fees, convenience fees, surge fees, and applicable taxes. Refunds, if applicable, will be processed in accordance with the cancellation and refund policy.

  1. Ratings, Reviews & User Content

Users may provide ratings and reviews of Helpers. Reviews must be genuine. Helpr reserves the right to remove false, misleading, or abusive content.

  1. Prohibited Use

Users shall not misuse the Platform for illegal activities, harassment, fraud, or discrimination. Helpers shall not solicit Users outside the Platform.

  1. Intellectual Property

All Platform content, trademarks, and technology are owned by UrbanAid Services Private Limited. Users are granted a limited, non-transferable license to use the Platform.

  1. Disclaimers & Warranties

The Services are provided on an ‘as is’ basis without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

  1. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Helpr’s liability shall be limited to INR 10,000 per booking.

  1. Indemnity

Users agree to indemnify UrbanAid Services Private Limited from any claims arising out of misuse of the Platform or Services.

  1. Termination & Suspension

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your account by ceasing to use the Platform.

  1. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Jurisdiction shall be Hyderabad, Telangana.

  1. Grievance Redressal

In compliance with the IT Act 2000 and Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules 2020, Helpr appoints a Grievance Officer. Details will be published on the website and app.

  1. Miscellaneous

Severability, force majeure, assignment, and notices are governed under Indian contract law.

Part B – Privacy Policy

  1. Introduction & Applicability

This Privacy Policy explains how UrbanAid Services Private Limited (operating as Helpr) collects, uses, shares, and protects User information. By using the Platform, you consent to this Privacy Policy.

  1. Collection of Information

Personal Information: Name, contact, flat/house number, community, pets, service preferences, payment details. Non-Personal Information: Device info, IP address, app usage data.

  1. Use of Information

We use information to provide services, process payments, improve user experience, send notifications, prevent fraud, and comply with legal requirements.

  1. Sharing of Information

We may share information with payment processors, SMS/email providers, background verification agencies, law enforcement, or as legally required.

  1. Data Retention & Security

We retain data as long as necessary for providing Services. We implement security safeguards including encryption and restricted access.

  1. User Rights

Users may request access, correction, or deletion of their personal data. Users may withdraw consent subject to legal and contractual obligations.

  1. Compliance

This Policy complies with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and Information Technology Act 2000.

  1. Grievance Officer & Contact

In compliance with applicable law, Helpr appoints a Grievance Officer whose details are provided on the Platform.
